With Hyphy Holidays just last month, you can bet that a bunch of new music would be released from the Bay this month! Eric Tucker is someone I have been noticing over the last few months, but never actually sat down to listen to his music. Why? I was scared that I would find a new Myles Parrish, not that Myles can ever be replaced. But a bunch of my Twitter followers retweet Tucker and interact with him, so I decided to give his latest single “One of a Kind” a listen. And I am honestly impressed!

With R&B, you can already anticipate a song to be vibey. And this is accomplished with a somewhat chillout vibe, which is something that I have been wanting to look more into lately. I have been trying to get away from the super energetic pop scene, so this is a great alternative. R&B is definitely a genre I would like to explore more into for this year! Eric Tucker uses modern R&B, vocal harmony, acoustics, and centers his music around his breathtaking voice!
Can I also say that I am extremely happy to see 2018 starting off with a bang of new music? “One of a Kind” is truly one of a kind, and I will be listening more to Eric Tucker over the next few weeks, starting with his Goodnite EP (2016).
