“I still think about you all night.”
Atlas Orchestra is an electronic rock discovered by Caius Cowgill of San Luis Obispo.
Still a small music group, Atlas Orchestra works with rock, hip hop, jazz, and funk, trying to discover their unique sousdnd and taste. There is not yet much of a hype for the group, but I highly believe that their current small following will soon grow in 2019!
One of the first things I look for in music that I like is the beat. And this beat is definitely catchy, whether through the synths, drums, or even the piano. I can already play this in the back of my head after listening to the album in its first listen.
Cowgill’s vocals are beautiful. They are soothing. They make you feel like everything, while also receiving a lullaby to go to sleep with. Their songs makes me honestly feel like I am dreaming in the clouds, greeted by angels.
To me, this album can appeal to anyone. It is very versatile. You can have a song that every romantic wonders about, such as with “Do You See Me,” where Cowgill explores if they are invisible or not, or if they are even missed. “Anguish [Interlude]” is completely instrumental, if you are looking for something without vocals. A more pop/funk vibe is offered with “Stereo,” making the listener want to break out into dance with that “bad boy” vibe from the guitar and drums. Or maybe you’re just looking for a song to just break into dancing in the middle of the street with, such as “Under Street Lights”!
Cowgill not only is a musician, but also a recent veteran of the San Luis Obispo High School track team. With this track record, you can now find Cowgill as a Cal Poly Mustang pursuing architecture and music production.
There is not yet much social media coverage, considering how Cowgill is still in school, but expect things to happen for Atlas Orchestra!
